Gene Glenn

Hello, I’m Gene Glenn, one of the Pastors/elders at Wildwood Baptist family. My family and I have been a part of this ministry since the summer of 2003. Wildwood has been a place of support, encouragement, healing, and a place to express our ministry gifts. It is a place of kindred spirits.
I declared Jesus Christ as my Lord publicly on our wedding day in 1975, where He has given me a passion for knowing Him and a hunger for His Word ever since. This passion and desire have led us to serve in nursing homes, children’s church, youth, decon ministry, filling pulpits, college and international ministries, and pastoring. In one of these positions, I worked with college and internationals at Pittsburg State University as a paid Director from 1982-1991. Then he led us to serve in our hometown of Liberal, Ks. to extended family, a local Southern Baptist church, and as a pastor at a multi-cultural church for 2 1/2/ years. Through our ministry journey, the Lord gave us a passion for a ministry of reconciliation and a vision to “reach the 4th generation.”
Since our marriage in May 1975, we have been blessed to have six children and their spouses. We have 20 grandkids and recently added our first grandkid-in-law! We now have more additions to look forward to as they all grow and marry. My family is my greatest gift from Him, through the Holy Spirit, to be able to love the Lord as I seek to care for them.
In 2010 I was asked to serve Wildwood as an overseer, Pastor/teacher, where I equip the saints for the ministry. 2 Tim. 2:2 has been a spiritual directive as I serve all those who cross our paths. Whether it be those who come to my shop to repair their small engine or through our ministry at Wildwood, our mission is for them to know the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
