Wildwood Family! Pastor appreciation is just around the corner. Acknowledging and appreciating the commitments of our pastors is an essential duty for churches. Showing appreciation provides us a chance to express gratitude for our pastors and their families. Celebrating this special day (month) allows us, within a church family, to recognize all that our spiritual leaders do while also considering what sacrifice they and their families make to care for our congregation.

“Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority because they watch over you as those who must give an account. Do this so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no benefit to you.” – Hebrews 13:17

This year, we are setting up a Gift Card Tree. In the lobby, there will be a “Christmas” tree with binder clips placed on it. Starting on October 8th, bring in cards and gift cards and attach them to the tree with the clip. We will collect these items until the 22nd. On the 22nd, after service, we will present our ministers, Gene Glenn, Steve Snyder, and Lew Poe, with our appreciation and support.

Gift card ideas – Butcher shops like Clouds or Hatfields; Dunham’s or other sporting goods stores. Local restaurants in town like Hackett Hot Wings, Crabby’s, Wilder’s, or Big R’s. Amazon is always good, or fast food chains like Sonic and Chick-fil-A. Monetary gifts are welcome, but so are just simple thank you and encouraging cards.

Trunk or Treat Candy Donation

Trunk or Treat candy donations or monetary donations are needed. Starting October 1st, there will be a box for candy donations in the lobby. We will be collecting candy up till October 29th. If you would like to offer monetary assistance instead (we will need to purchase a few items), you can place your donation in an offering envelope, mark the envelope with what the gift is for (i.e., Trunk or Treat), and put it in the offering box on the wall.

Submission received, thank you!
